    About preservatives:

    Preservatives are required in all hydrous cosmetic products and in some anhydrous products. A broad spectrum preservative will prevent the growth of Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria, yeast and molds. Geogard ECT (also referred to as Preservative Eco) is our preferred natural broad spectrum preservative to formulate with.

    Geogard ECT is a unique blend of Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin and Sorbic Acid.
